David - Searching the IBM web site for that message number
        leads to Technote 1171360 ("How to understand 3494
error message ANR8301E") which describes the content.

You seem to have encountered something during an unmount
operation.  The null CC is odd, though.  Lacking context, I
can only recommend that you perform an mtlib command status
query on the library, and then on each drive, and examine any
accompanying ANR messages in the Activity Log.  I would also
expect related info in the AIX Error Log.
