I thought of doing Full backup every 8 hours and LOG backup every 20
minutes ...
Is there a best pratice for SQL backup ??

Now think about that for a minute; that's three log backups per hour. If
you have to restore the database 20 hours after the full backup is done,
that means there are 61 files you have to restore, most likely from
tape. That will make for a unnecessarily long restore.
Do you really need *that* fine a granularity?
