Why is the TSM server forcing compression on for my aix client?  Is it because 
it is the same box as the server?  I am using COMMMETHOD of TCPIP not 
SHAREDMEM, so I assume that the data is being sent across the lan like any 
other client.

from the baclient:
Node Name: NY_AIX1
Session established with server NY_AIX1: AIX-RS/6000
  Server Version 5, Release 2, Level 3.0
  Data compression forced on by the server

client is as 5.2.3 as well.  Aix is 5.2.0.4
