Exclude.dir excludes the directory and all files.

Exclude.archive only excludes the files (there is no exclude.dir for
archives)

So if you drill down through the archive gui you will see the files with a
red circle through them showing that they are excluded.

This is one of the inconsistencies in include/excludes between backups and
archives - very confusing when I have to explain this to our users.

Subject: Include/Exclude in archives

In further work on our archive problem and solution, I'm having a little
trouble with our inc/exc files.

It's my understanding that the archive runs off of the same dsm.opt file
that the baclient uses, but with slightly different syntax.

For instance, a couple of lines of that .opt file look like this:

INCLUDE "\\blender\c$\* <\\blender\c$\*> "
EXCLUDE.dir "\\blender\c$\rsi_ias_build <\\blender\c$\rsi_ias_build> "

With the corresponding archive entries below:

INCLUDE.archive "\\blender\c$\* <\\blender\c$\*> "
EXCLUDE.archive "\\blender\c$\rsi_ias_build <\\blender\c$\rsi_ias_build> "

Just going through the archive GUI, I'm still seeing those directories
available to me (in contrast to the baclient part of the GUI, where those
directories aren't even visible to select) which I'm taking as a sign that
the .opt file is not set up correctly.

Am I on the right track here?

Thanks in advance...
