Re: DDS4 drive cleaning problem

We had before IBM dds4 6 tape autoloader.
I remember the biggest challenge is to tell TSM that one of the tapes is
cleaning tape.
Are you sure when you checked in cleaner that TSM knows it is cleaning
tape.
If you issue "q libv" under status column for cleaning tape you should
see "Cleaner"


Maybe I'm on the wrong track , but this is one of the suggestions.

regulary checked in cleaning cartridge

On "clean drive" I get:

And in the event log it shows up (Source: TsmScsi):

> during Move Medium with completion code DD_DRIVE_OR_MEDIA_FAILURE.
> Refer to the device's SCSI reference for appropriate action.

> Dump Data: byte 0x3E=KEY, byte 0x3D=ASC, byte 0x3C=ASCQ

Normal tape movements and read/write operations work without any error.
What's wrong here? Has anybody some hint?
