I've been investigating what options we have for fun tricks to play with our
DB/2 backups to TSM. The major obstacle to many of our desires seems to be
that the environment and options files are set at the time that the instance
-starts-. Thus, (for instance) it's not possible to point your running
instance at a new node definition, cut a backup which you would like to treat
differently, and then put it back.

We think that the only options we have for doing this involve dropping stuff
onto DASD, or restarting the instance several times.

Does that sound right to those others of you who are doing DB/2?
