I am on AIX .. I have drive 2 and 3 on element addresses 256 and 257 Should I
change the drive numbers to reflect the element numbers ie

drive 1 = 256
drive 2 = 257
drive 3 = 258

????

I thought the drive1 were just labels.

If you are running on an AIX system, this usually means that the drive is not
in the right order.

If you are not running on AIX, then you should look at the driver, because it
is not communicating properly
