Have isolated the directory where the hang occurs. A 'find ... -ls' completes 
with no
errors. Query Session shows a session starting but then goes into a wait state. 
AIX error
log shows no errors.

What diagnostic work have you done?  Have you done a Selective on that file 
system to
find out where it "hangs"?  Or a 'find ... -ls'?  What does Query SEssion show 
on
the server when it occurs?  Any problem indications in the AIX Error Log?
