Hi

I do this on a UNIX/AIX server where the DRP server UNIX/AIX is at a higher TSM
server code than
the Production server UNIX/AIX.
All I do is restore the TSM database of the production server to the DRP server
and then
I run an upgrade DB on the DRP server.
The OS server levels are also at different server levels.
The Production server OS level: AIX 4.3.3
The DRP server OS Level: AIX 5.1
This works for me.

I hope this answers your question.

Thks

Without specifics, we can't provide a specific answer. A database backup
is intended to be a recovery tool for the TSM server instance which created
it: a db backup is not intended to be a portable migration aid. You can
get away with moving to a new TSM instance with a db backup where all
conditions are essentially the same; but the more they diverge, the more
you are gambling. See my notes on "dsmserv RESTORE DB" in
http://people.bu.edu/rbs/ADSM.QuickFacts and the numerous past discussions
of this topic in the List archives.
