I chose some files in the directory to "always backup" through the GUI
so that I could force them to rebind.
However, the dsmerror.log does show something interesting....

We don't have the benefit of seeing the backup log... Just what does it
show? Might it be the case that there were no changed files to back up?
And, of course, directories will go their own way unless you use DIRMc.
