Hmmmm..... maybe the file is greater than 2 GB or there was insufficient
space in the subfile cache to store the file?

Does anyone know what rc means with the following message:

2004-2-23 20:44:49 ANS1328E An error occured generating delta file for
XXXXXXXXXX, return code 4539.

This shows up in dsmerror.log and dsmsched.log. Client is Windows 2000,
5.1.6.0.  It is during subfile backup of the file.  The file is retried
later and works.

I have opened a PRM with Tivoli but I figured asking here may be quicker.

Help for the message gives:

ANS1328E   An error occured generating delta file for 'file-name', return
      code retcode.

Explanation: An error occurred while generating the delta file. The
delta file cannot be created.

System Action: Full backup is taken of the file, and a new version of
the reference file is stored in the client cache.

User Response: If the problem recurs, report the program error to your
service representative.
