In reference to original post, we finally were able to redefine library and
drives (addresses had all changed). Now we're getting these 'Changer Failure'
errors. Has anyone seen these before? They are show-stoppers apparently,
because we are dead in the water.

Subject: RE: TSM 5.1.7.0 & Missing STK L700 Library
Kelli,
It's been a while, how are you. Couple of things:
I'm assuming AIX doesn't see the device at all???
1. In AIX, define TSM devices, add a library, but you need to know the AIX
adapter and SCSI address of the library, so see #2.
2. As far as the address of the library goes, that should be viewable from the
Operators panel.
3. You now be able to define to AIX via SMIT, device special file name should
be /dev/lb0
4. TSM PATH and LIBRARY definitions should be OK, worst case is you'll have to
delete and redefine, but I wouldn't think you should have to.
The library going MIA after code load, depends on is it MIA to AIX or MIA to
TSM? I don't think the SCSI inquiry string would have changed (which is what
the TSM device driver uses to determine what kind of library it is).
Contact me if you want to discuss further.

Subject: TSM 5.1.7.0 & Missing STK L700 Library
Need help on missing library...
It was defined as a Tivoli Storage device in AIX 5 because it is an STK L700
library. Vendor loaded microcode..library is now MIA. Can't remember how to
come up with Parent & connector addresses. Running TSM 5.1.7.0...TSM Support
guy didn't know AIX and could not help me....
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
