Aging off could happen only if the node administrators had the foresight to
perform a final backup with the original file system emptied, or by deleting
the original file system and momentarily substituting an empty in its name-
place for a final backup: only then would all the Active files go Inactive
and begin aging. But age-out would still occur only if policies include
age-oriented retention.
Consider doing an Export to rid the stgpools and database of the obsolete
data, and eject the Export tapes from your library to free slots for viable
nodes - providing that restorals are not anticipated.
