Anyone using alternate path support for LTO-2 fibre drives?

Setting up a new TSM server p630, AIX 5.2 ML2, TSM 5.2.2.0 server, 2x 2gbit
fibre to a 3584 with 4 LTO-2 drives via a switch. Been reading on the
alternate pathing and dynamic failover support in the Atape drivers...
anyone using this? What's you experience? Trying to decide whether to
configure this for the client or just define 2 drives down each fibre
adapter for TSM.
