This is how societal myths get started.
Understanding what protocols such as FTP are doing, and choices in using them,
helps in such situations; and you need to understand the network environment
through which sessions are being conducted, as firewalls and (uncommunicated)
ISP changes can greatly affect what we try to do.

When all you want to do is simply download a file, it is undeniably a pain to
