Ok.  Cool.  But, I am looking at Pub GC35-0154-11 (IBM TotalStorage Tape
Device Drivers Installation and User's Guide), and the Notes at the bottom
of page 25, in the Automatic Failover section of Chapter 6 "Alternate
Pathing Support" states:

"This function is supported only on 3590 and 3592 Fibre Channel tape
drives that are native attached.  This function is not supported for
devices that are attached through an IBM San Data Gateway."

If course, I perfer to believe that it will work!
