Hi Alex
Trying to install 3583 with 3 FC drives on a SAN
Documents from IBM say that each FC drive needs to be connected to the
switch directly. But what I understand is,
this needs to be done only if the Multipath option needs to be used.

I don't want to use the Multipath option just 3583 totally controlled by
TSM,
So, like SCSI drives can we cascade the FC drives and use the dual port
provided on the 3583 to connect to the switch instead of connecting each
drive to the switch

if this is possible, if you give me the cable options that needs to be
procured - it would be Great.

with regards
jayanth

Hi Jayanth,

Yes, I have installed a couple of these at various customer sites. What
info
do you need?

Alex
