The error does not point the user is having insufficient right on Win2k
side but on TSM side. The node/admin name used to authenticate with TSM
server is not having authority to access/restore the data.
If the problem is still not resolved (two months passed since) you may
post the dsm.opt file, node/admin name entered in the GUI prompt and
output of "q admin <admin_name> f=d" command.

        Subject: Restore Problems

Environment: TSM server running 5.1.5 on Win2k platform. Clients are a
mixed of AIX and Win2K running also at 5.1.5. All backups are LAN-FREE.

Question..
     1. We have installed the TSM client codes using Admin / root rights
on
the servers. Our dilemna right now is how to restore the backup files
using
operator IDs with backup operator rights on Win2k. We tried defining a new
ID with backup/restore/manage logs rights on a win2k Client but whenever
we
start the TSM client GUI it prompts for a TSM userid and password.
Furthermore it won't restore the backup file. below are the messages from
dsmerror.log
