We Received this same error on 3 Domino servers last night.
The Server Support group checked the servers and say they do not have the
virus.
However, the RPC service died at 11:00 am yesterday, for unknown reasons.
(Actually it stopped at 11:00 on all three Domino servers yesterday.) We
have other Domino servers that are not having this issue.
So I restarted the RPC Service. (I did not reboot the server)
I scheduled a backup to run.
and received the same results:

I am having the same issue.
It is due to the latest MS worm hit to your W2K clients. If you will look
before you try a backup, the RPC service is not running. When it isn't
running, you get the errors below. If you reboot the box and RPC fires back
up, no problems on the backups.
Your servers/workstations will need to be patched. Go to MS website for
bulletin on MS03-026 to get the appropriate patch. Be careful, the 03-026
patch can cause issues on servers as it affects DCOM functionality.

TSM 5.1.6.6 client on Windows2000. Server is running MSSQLServer, too.
Anyone seen any errors like this? Queries on ADSM.ORG and IBM get no hits.
