And also check the front panel and make sure the CE configured
correctly.  You can change the addresses to correct ones on the front
panel if they are wrong.

Hi,

Check the manual that came with the library:

For windows systems: drive 1-12  = elment 0-11
For unix systems: drive 1-12 = element 257-268

I just had the IBM CE add two new drives to my 3584 library.  I am
attempting to add the drives to TSM and the define automated drive page
wants an element number, I used the next sequential number and it doesn't
like that number.  Any ideas where to get that element number? I checked the
front panel on the library, it doesn't match anything in TSM.
