Hi,

I think there is a restartable restore session on your tsm server that has
created a lock file for that particular tape.
so use the command "query restore" to find any restartable restore session
is available on your tsm server and cancel the session using "cancel
restore" command.

Hope this should solve your problem

regards
N.Suresh

Subject: Space Reclamation problem

Hello all, I have a problem with reclaiming two tapes. This is the message I
get on the server console:

ANR0984I Process 2134 for SPACE RECLAMATION started in the BACKGROUND at
11:28:00.
ANR1040I Space reclamation started for volume 000975, storage pool NTWTAPE
(process number 2134).
ANR1044I Removable volume 000975 is required for space reclamation.
ANR1171W Unable to move files associated with node WKS00102, filespace
\\wks00102\c$ fsId 1 on volume 000975 due to restore in progress.
ANR0985I Process 2134 for SPACE RECLAMATION running in the BACKGRUND
completed with completion state FAILURE at 11:28:00.
ANR1089W Space reclamation terminated for volume 000975 - lock conflict.

I checked current sessions and there are no restores in progress. The server
is at 5.1.6.4.
Any help would be appreciated....
