Hi Fellows,
We have TSM 4.2 running in our shop, the host server is z/os the clients
are win2000 and WINNT , please can you help me in the following
questions:-
1- What is the way to backup SQL7/Data (lmf and mdf file types).
When the schedule runs to backup SQL7 data files, failed due to
busy/file in
use by another system.
What is the way to over come this problem by TSM?
[Christian] There is three ways. Use a Tivoli TDP for SQL for backing up
the SQL server or use a Open File Manager like S:T Bernard or dump the SQL
Databas to a file and backing up them.
But the best way is to use Tivoli TDP.
2- How we can code a folder name in the object field during schedule
definition?
if the name contains two or more words separated with spaces , I
tried to
enclose the name by single/double quotes but it doesn't work.
[Christian] Def sch Domain Sch_Name act=c obj='"\What up\file name.cmd"'
...
3- Some tapes showing in query status is FULL , while it is showing PCT
utilization less than 100% . Is this normal?
[Christian] Maybe you have set your Reclamation to 100% on that storage
pool???
Thanks
