This doesn't help you with your current restore problem but
will speed up your future backups:
Tsm version 4.2.1.9 My: 4.2.2.8
TDP version 3.2.0.8 My: 3.1.0.5
os version Both server and Client : NT 4.0 My: W2K (Client), AIX (Server)
Tape Hardware LTO My: 3590
Type of network G.Ethernet My: G.Ethernet
Number of drives 4 My: 2
Values:
MAX_SESSIONS 1 My: 2
MAX_BACK_SESSIONS 1 My: 2
MAX_RESTORE_SESSIONS 1 My: 2
RL_COMPRESSION NO My: Yes
MULTIPLEXING not set My: 3
My backyup takes +- 3h 15mn My: 50 Minutes for 54GB
Have you tried to FTP or copy files from client to server and vice versa?
What throughput do you get?
Kind regards
