Hi,

I have some more question about the dual site configuration. I worked out
some solutions. (I have TSM server TSMA on server A and TSM server TSMB on
server B).

The first solutions uses backup sets. I can create a backup set for the most
important data and made it available on the other tsm server. So clients can
restore the data from the backupset.

The second solution is to create the offsite copy from the TSMA to the server
B. But this requires a fast line between the 2 servers. In case of a
disaster, I can recreate TSMA on the second server (I have the database copy
offsite on a mksysb) but with no disk pool or primary tape pool. But I can
access my offsite data because TSMB is still running. So clients can access
the data for a restore.

The third solution is the most durty one. I restore TSMA on the second server
B. And I have only offsite tapes from TSMA. The big question is how can I
access them? I can shutdown TSMB, change all the tapes in the library (so
the offsite tapes from TSMA are available in the library), start TSMA on
server B and do an audit library. But that's not soo handy.
Or I can try to share the library between TSMA and TSMB. But I have no idea
if this possible with a LTO library 3583 with 2 LTO drives.

Any help would be welcome ...

Stef
