Thanks Andy
First time I received an answer from a person somehow representing Tivoli -
Nice ;)
Unfortunally, several people I've talked to (and my self) have done what you
suggested - with no result! So for the time being, I guess that "we" (around 34
millions users worldwide (According to Gartner Group & Novell by the end of
2002)) just have to rely on Open File Managers (and hope it will work) if we
want an "hot" backup of our mailboxes.
Anyhow, as I started; Thanks for your reply - I am truely satisfied just having
an answer ;)
Regards
Flemming
PS: Have just atttended in a seminar with Novell, introducing GroupWise 6.5 -
and their intention of cooperation with 3rd party vendors in the future is
extremely positive!

There is no roadmap since we have no plans at this time to implement this.
I would recommend that you or any other customers interested in TSM
support for Novell GroupWise (or for any new feature, for that matter)
open a requirement through their IBM representative or SHARE.

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.

Subject: SV: IS GWTSA COMPATIBLE WITH TSM
Hi Mark
In fact, I would wish it was the case... but several other backupcompanies
have the implementation for the GWTSA module - and in fact I have never
experienced the problems you describe as a part of a *long* history... nor
have I heard of such problems from any of the softwaredevelopers I have
had discussion with.
... and in fact, dont it say it all when Tivoli don't even bother to
answer a seriuos question from several of their customers? So in this
case, all of above considered, I don't think the problem is at Novell -
sorry...
regards
Flemming

It's much more likely that ol' Novell isn't too keen on support
third-party software vendors. They have a *long* history of that.
