Disable the Removable Storage Manager.
Also, in the TSM-menagement-console under TSM-Device Driver: bring the
libraries under control of the TSM device driver and tapes controlled by
native drivers.

Subject: Can't connect Win2k TSM Server to the SAN attached library

We have an IBM3584 tape Library that we have logically divided into 4
libraries to connect to 4 TSM Servers.(3 AIX TSM Servers and 1 new Windows
2000 TSM Server)
The 4th Windows 2000 TSM Server is just being built.
This Server is connected to a EMC Clarion SAN. The Tape Drives in the
Libarary are also connected to the SAN thru' a FC switch. We have all the
drives and the HBA on the Server in a zone.
Now the problem is that although we can see all the SAN attached drives on
the Server there is some problem with how the Server sees the Changer or
should I say does not see the changer at all.
On the device manager for Win2000
for the Emulex card we have the Fabric-Automap SCSI devices driver (also
tried out the nonautomap).
On the medium changers we have the
IBM3584 UltraScalable Tape library for Win2K.
Under Tape drives we have the
IBM ULT3580-TDI SCI Sequential device.
But when we try to configure the devices on the TSM management console
wizard we get:
Changer0 not recognized by Removable Storage Manager. TSM server does not
support medium changers that are driven by Windows native device drivers
unless they are controlled by Removable Storage Manager. Consult TSM
documentation for ......
Has anybody seen this before and have any suggestions on how to proceed? We
have been at a standstill for 2 days now trying different workarounds.
Any help is appreciated.
