Beware extrapolations in reasoning...  You can do only as much as the
vendor has chosen to program the software to do.  If you refer to the
documentation of the Incremental command in the Unix Clients manual,
Table 47 defines the reasonable, but limited, types of file systems
which the client is programmed to handle.  No FAT there, for example.
And AIX knows not of SGI xfs, etc.
