Dave,
There are several methods you can do to accomplish this task. However,
almost all of the work is done by Oracle/Rman. I would suggest looking at
the Rman User's Guide for direction. I quickly searched on google and
found the Rman's User Guide for 9.0.1 and looked up to scenarios, I
believe there are more: Disaster Recovery with a Control File Autobackup,
and Restoring the Database to a New Host. No matter what strategy you use,
when you are restoring to the other node you will need to make sure that
your tdpo.opt file has the TDPO_NODE, TDPO_OWNER, and TDPO_FS set as you
used on the backup host. Hope this helps you get started.

Subject: TDP Oracle restore to different node question
Sorry if this has been asked and answered ad nauseum over the years. I =
searched the archives and couldn't find a clear answer....
I have backed up an Oracle DB on Server A, using the controlfile only, no
=
repository, via RMAN and TDP. I would like to restore it to server B for
=
some testing. If someone could please point me to a document that =
addresses how to restore a database to a different node I would appreciate
=
it. =20
Specs:
Oracle 9.0.x.x
TDP 2.2 (AIX)
TSM Serv 4.2.2 (NT)
Thanks
Dave
