I attended the TSM Advanced class for V4.1 and there was a recommendation
that you limit the DB Volumes to a "maximum of 12 to reduce the space used
for logical volume manager overhead".   I've also seen as many as 32 DB
volumes, but we took it back to 16 DB Volumes and will eventually go back to
8 DB volumes.
