Solaris 2.6 is SunOS kernel 5.6
Solaris 7 is SunOS kernel 5.7
Solaris 8 is SunOS kernel 5.8

They changed their naming convention a few years ago...

I just received a request to install a TSM client for a SunOS 5.8.  As I
have never had the slightest contact with this type of client server
before I don't even know what to look for as far as clients go.  When I
went and looked at IBM for client requirements I found Sun Solaris 2.6,
7, or 8, but did not see anything for SunOS 5.8.  I'm pretty sure in my
lack of knowledge that I'm missing something here.  Can anyone advise?
