I found the dsmerror.log to be a lot more helpful!
Are you using CAD mode (client acceptor starts the scheduler and/or
webclient)?
Also is this cluster running either TDP SQL or Exchange?  If so check the
port numbers!
I set my SQL cluster this way:
Baclient for local disk on 1581
TDP SQL on 1582
Cluster resources on 1583.

It is for a cluster resource and I have specified a different HTTPPORT in
the options files, which it picks up at the time of installation. For some
reason, I did not look much in the nt event logs.
