Hi all,
We where facing the same problem (on AIX 4.3.3), and installed ML
4.3.2.1 which was supposed to solve it : no luck, it still mangles
everything containing special characters. Did anyone succeed in
correcting this problem, and case of a positive answer, with wich ML or
PTF ?
Thanks in advance.
Arnaud

Sounds similar enough to probably be it, especialy since I have a lot of
nodes with "." in the name.
However, still don't see the 4.2.3.2 patch out there. Just checked.

Zoltan:
We see the same thing. Problem is described in APAR PQ68442 - fixed in
4.2.3.2 patch level. Here is the description:
Problem Summary:
****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: This APAR affect the Tivoli Storage *
* Manager server version 5.1.X and 4.2.X on *
* MVS. *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Character encoding algorithm in the *
* web engine is not converting EBCDIC *
* character to ASCII before making the *
* encoding. This results in *
* non-alphanumeric characters, such as *
* a dash (-) or period (.), in being *
* incorrectly translated when decoded *
* by the web engine. *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: Install PTF or PATCH when available. The *
* release schedule and version number may *
* change at IBM discretion. The target *
* PATCH is 5.1.6.1 and 4.2.3.2. The target *
* PTF versions are 5.1.7.0 and 4.3.4.0 *
****************************************************************
Non-alphanumeric characters are encoded into an escape
sequence in a URL. The web engine on MVS was not converting the
characters into ASCII character set before encoding the characters.
LOCAL FIX:
Use the Admin Command Line to modify, update or delete TSM
DB definitions that contain special characters in the name.

I am having some strange issues with the Web Admin interface after
upgrading to 4.2.3.0 from 4.2.2.13.
I did not do ann UPGRADEDB based on message I saw here that I did not
need to do this since I had already done it for the 4.2.2.13 level.
Yes, I did the /RUNFILE DD:IDL. In fact, I just did it again to see if
I missed something from the original run.
Yes, I checked that I am pointing to the correct datasets.
What I am seeing is stuff like this when I query a Client Node:
Client Nodes : VCUNET CMSERVER%6C4BVCU%6C4BEDU
No objects found
It won't show me filespace information nor correct client information.
