Wolfgang,

Find a TSM device driver utility called lbtest.exe. Then run "lbtest -d
lb0.1.1.3" and choose manual test. Run option 6 to open, 8 to get element
count and 9 to get inventory. Are these options successful? If fails,
what's the error message?

Hi experts!

I'm trying to set up a HP SureStore 20/700 with four LTO-Ultrium Drives and
I'm having problems to define the library.

Our environment:
 - Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP1
 - TSM 5.1.5.0 for Windows
 - Compaq StorageWorks SAN Switches
 - Emulex HBAs

The commands I've tried:
 DEFINE LIBRARY HPLIB1 LIBTYPE=SCSI SHARED=YES
 DEFINE PATH TSM_W2K_1 HPLIB1 SRCTYPE=SERVER DESTTYPE=LIBRARY
DEVICE=lb0.1.1.3

The DEFINE PATH command ends with following error msg:
ANR8418E DEFINE PATH: An I/O error occurred while accessing library HPLIB1.
ANS8001I R|ckkehrcode 15.

HP/Compaq tells Hardware is okay.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Wolfgang Bayrhof
