Hello,
you can exclude these files without any problems. TSM handles these files
(not ntuser.dat) as system objects and backs them up another way. Because
these files are allways opened by another process (OS), TSM is not able to
back them up in the normal way. If you do a backup of Partition C, than you
can see, that TSM makes a directory named adsm.sys. Within this directory
there are "copies" of the NT system objects (Registry and Log), which
allows TSM, to back these "copies" up.
Hope this helps,
MfG/regards
