Did you specify OVERWRITE=YES in the label command?

Subject: Re-using tapes from Backup Exec
Hello all, I have not posted here before and I am fairly new to TSM so
please bear with me. I am trying to re use tapes from Backup Exec with
Tivoli 5.1.5. This is a proof of concept server. It has a single manual
DLT drive to use. Many of the Automated library commands are unavailable
with this manual drive. When I try to label the tape using the GUI wizard
it notifies me the tape is write protected. But it is not physically write
protected. I was able to successfully use a new DLT tape. Does anyone know
of some type of low level format for these tapes? Or way to force this. I
am running TSM on a windows 2000 server with the drive internal. This is a
temporary environment until we get our real environment up and running for
TSM.
