WHAT!!!?!  TSM will NEVER corrupt your data!!
No need to worry about that!

I think what happens depends on the process, and maybe on the type of
library.
In my SCSI library, I'm pretty sure I've seen a VARY DRIVE splat OFFLINE
kill a migration; but then, migration has a lot of convenient break points.
I doubt it would kill a restore, but I haven't tested.

I don't think you can put the drive offline while it has a drive mounted
and in-use.

Do the tapes get dismounted?  Processes/sessions terminate?  Data

3590 drives in a 3494 library running TSM 5.1.1.6 on AIX 5.1 if it
makes any difference.
