Hi Joshua,

Can you give an example of the syntax of the pre and post command?  Also,
is that located in the dsm.opt or dsm.sys file?

It is absolutely supported on UNIX.  I have created several scripts to
stop/start DB and have had TSM control the flow.

Does anyone use the POST and PRE Schedule commands for a UNIX client ??

I have a new client that has an Oracle DB. An need to shut it down
before
the backup and start it backup after.

It seems like it's only an option for NT clients.  Or can you used it to
kick off a script ??
