Try to get on 4.2.2.12 server if you can. With 4.2.1, the journal based
backup will really help you. I think 4.2.1 server is a prerequisite for
this functionality.

I am running Win2k client 4.2.1.32 and Win2k server 4.1.6. The client is
a
dual 700 Mhz and the server is a dual 1.0 GigHz machine. I have over 2.2
million files on our data server and thus it spends most of its time
inspecting files that have not changed. I cannot seem to get it to
inspect
any more than 100 files/sec. This means that my backup takes 6 hours even
if nothing changes. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can make
file
inspections quicker?
Thanks
