Rod,

you were literate enough to answer yourself. Now you need only to believe
in own knowledge. The latter is not a TSM problem and is not subject of
this list (I hope it is not subject of psychoanalysis either :-)

I'm implementing a TSM backup solution through a
firewall. The clients are inside the firewall, the
server outside. I have TCP ports 1500 and 1501 enabled
through the router and client backups seem to work OK
using. I'd like to use the backup web client, but I'm
a little confused. I have HTTP port 1581 enabled, but
that doesn't seem to be enough. I read about the
WEBPORTS option and the defaults if you don't specify
it. To assure that I use "fixed" ports I'm
proposing enabling two more TCP ports (say 1582,1583)
in the router, and adding the WEBPORTS option 1582
1583 to the client options files. Is this the correct
approach?

Be easy on me as I am networking illiterate.

Many thanks,

Rod Hroblak
