Is it done right?  If it works for your needs the answer is yes.

M-F mornings we send offsite a copy of the database, a floppy (with volhist,
devconfig,
and a few other files) and ALL copypool tapes that were generated overnight
or over
the weekend, whether they are full (unusual) or not (typical).

Being a small site, it is usually one tape for the database and one for the
copypool.
