Brian,

Our company has a C00 NSM and just went through this EC three weeks ago. We
had issues with the lmcp0 daemon not starting correctly, so we had no
communication to our 3494 (even though the 3590 drives were online). Also, our
fast ethernet adapter somehow defaulted back to half duplex which we didn't
catch until the next day. Other than that, our biggest issue was that we
weren't told up front that it was a destructive os upgrade - they boot from
their own mksysb tape and lay down a totally new system. We had alot of
scripts and perf data that went up in smoke. Fortunately we were able to get
them back from the our own mksysb that we ran prior to the upgrade, but it was
not much fun. Other than that, it went ok.

Hello,

Next week we will have the first upgrade of our NSM. It's a model C01, with
AIX 4.3.3 and TSM 4.1 and will be upgrade to AIX 5.1.0. and TSM 4.2.1.9

Because this is the first time, I was wondering if other NSM-sites will
share their experiences with me, and give me some tips and trics, or maybe a
kind of checklist/procedure.

Thanks in advance,

Brian.
