All,

I have a customer with a 1.5 TB Oracle database.  If they encounter a
tape or network error during the backup, TSM reports an error to Oracle.
Instead of resending the data, RMAN aborts the backup operation.  It is
my understanding that this is how the TSM/Oracle integration works.  My
customer has had to setup a huge disk pool just to handle Oracle
backups.  This in turn causes a major problem because then all this data
needs to be migrated off to tape which takes additional time.

How are other customers handling this Oracle/TSM issue?
