Hello all
        I am working with z/os 1.1 on a 9672-x57 with TSM 5.1.1.4. Our
capacity planner gave me some CPU usage over time reports that show TSM uses
more and more and more CPU the longer it has a process running. IN
particular, I will refer to my easy to observe and control morning
environment when we are running disk to tape MIGRATIONS, 5 processes.
I was shown the report that with 5.1.1.0 every day the migration would
use 1/4 of a processor between 9 and 10, 1/2 a processor between 10 and 11,
and close to full processor between 11 and 12. We now have 5.1.1.4 in. I
observed the same type behavior, CPU usage increasing over time while work
load (5 migration processes) stays the same. I then stopped the migrations,
waited till all processed cleared out and restarted them. It now seems to
reset itself to using 1/4 of a processor.
Is anyone else out there experiencing anything similar to this now
or in the past?
Matt
