I found out this is just the tip of the iceberg.  The rest is coming in a
couple weeks.  They say they "fixed" it this time, but I got a dollar that
says a deaf, dumb, and blind customer could price and explain it better than
what we will get from Tivoli.  I have no idea why they will not ask a few
customers under non-disclosure to review and critique what is going to be
announced before they do it.

I. Tivoli Software Announces Pricing Update for Tivoli Storage Manager

Tivoli is very pleased to announce updates to its Storage Manager pricing
model.  Since the April 9, 2002 announcement of Tivoli Storage Manager 5.1
and its new packaging and pricing model, customer feedback has been
extremely
positive!   We have completed our assessment of the new pricing model and
will take the following actions, effective August 27, 2002:

1. Split the Tivoli Storage Manager Enterprise Edition into three
   components:
   - IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition
   - IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Storage Area Networks (SAN)
   - IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Space Management (HSM)

2. Re-price Tivoli Storage Manager and the Tivoli Storage Manager for
offerings:
   - The licensing models for these offerings do not change, only the
pricing.

3. Withdraw Tivoli Storage Manager Enterprise Edition
