OK, You have to put the CA-1 exit in to ignore the open systems tapes first.

You define the ATL in TSM and that is where you set the category codes for
TSM.  Lets say you choose 300 for privates, 301 for 3490 scratchs, then
automatically 3590 gets 302.  You have to enable the 3590 function in the
TSM server options.

When you insert the tapes into the library the OS390 system will not
register them with the exit in place.  They will remain FF00.  Use the TSM
LABEL command to checkin and label the tapes at the same time.  Do not use
CHECKIN for unlabeled tapes.  If you have inserted the tapes in the library
and need to get them out.  Use the MTLIB command to change its category to
the IO station category and the tapes will eject (cannot remember that but
it is something like FFFD).

You have apparently configured the LAN address in the Library Manager for
the AIX host.
