The active backups (the current versions of files that existed on the node
at the time of its last backup) will be kept indefinitely. The inactive
backups (older versions of files with active backups, and all backups of
files deleted from the node before its last backup) will eventually age
off unless the relevant copy group has retonly, retextra, or both set to
'nolimit'.
