Actually, the REV30 causes any extra versions over 30 days old to be
deleted.  To use your example:

The user creates the file on first of month (A).
First of next month, backs up again (B).
30 days later, (A) is deleted due to REV30.
First of 3rd month, backs up again (C).
30 days later, (B) is deleted due to REV30.

So you wouldn't end up with an old version over 30 days old unless it's the
version that's still on disk.  What the VDE Unlimited actually means is that
he could back it up 100 times in one day and not lose yesterday's backup
which should be kept for another 29 days.
