TDP for ESS for Oracle databases

Hi,
This problem could happen due to any one of the following four reasons.

1) Your startup file(setup file) doesn't have any target disk defined.
         -  You are required to provide the possible candidates as target
disk in the setup file.

2) The size of the target disk has to be same as the size of the source
disk.

3) The target disk has to be in the same lss with the source disk.

4) Target disk is already used for other flashcopy, so it is occupied by
other process.

Please make sure you had met those 4 requirements in your setup file.

Hi,

We are trying to get it all work, backing up an Oracle database with RMAN
and TDP for Oracle for AIX and TDP for ESS for Oracle Databases. It all
works untill we installed the TDP for ESS. Most of the startup-scripts is
clear to us. Only we are getting an error returncode 2, meaning something
as
could not found the taget disk. We have the next envoiroment:

ESS (microcode 1.5.1.13)
RS/6000 H50 produktion oracle server with 2 ESS luns for the Oracle
database
(AIX 4.3.3 ML 9 and Oracle 8.1.7)
RS/6000 H50 backupserver with 2 ESS luns for the flash (AIX 4.3.3 ML 9 and
Oracle 8.1.7)
RS/6000 H80 TSM-server running TSM server 4.2.1.11 (AIX 4.3.3 ML9)
TDP for Oracle for Unix 2.2
TDP for ESS for Oracle Databases 1.1.1

Maybe someone has it allready working an can give us some explanation on
the
startup-file or even can give us an copy of it with some explanation.
