Hi Todd,

I have no idea, then, why you are seeing what you are seeing.

The INCLUDE/EXCLUDE options are not the proper way to do what you need;
there is something strange going on. The DOMAIN C: F: statement should
restrict the operations to just the C: and F: drives, barring any other
external influences.

Could you post your entire dsm.opt file here? Also, what happens if you
manually start the backup with the command line interface, like this:

1) Open an OS command prompt.

2) Change into the baclient directory where TSM is installed.

3) Run dsmc like this:

   dsmc i -optfile=youroptfilename

where "youroptfilename" is the path to your client options file. (If you
are using a file named dsm.opt and that file is in the baclient directory,
then you can omit the -optfile parameter.)

You should only need to run it for a few seconds, just enough to see which
file systems are being processed. Then hit q-q (the 'q' key twice in
succession) or CTRL-C to stop the backup.

What does the output show?

Andy

Andy,

The scheduler service was restarted and it is using the newly modified
dsm.opt file. The CLOPTSET has no listing of includes for domains. The
schedule definition also makes no references to domains. Can you exclude
drives by putting these lines in the dsm.opt?...

EXCLUDE D:*
EXCLUDE E:*
EXCLUDE H:*

Thanks for your help!

Todd
