Is it a raw device? Is there a stanza in /etc/filesystems? You may need to
back up the /dev/appl file space over which the logical volume is mounted
and perform an image incremental backup. Then back up the /dev/devlv1 raw
logical volume. Remember before doing an image backup on a device, any file
system on the device must be UNMOUNTED.
Command: tsm> backup image /dev/appl -mode=incremental
Command: tsm> backup image /dev/devlv1
If it is NOT a raw device then goto SMITTY and check the PERMISSIONS whether
it is READ/WRITE...
That's all the IDEAS I have ;-)
